Raymond Höptner

Member of the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate / District Mayor of Mundenheim

Raymond Höptner has been a directly elected Member of the State Parliament of Rhineland-Palatinate since 2026. As one of the youngest members of parliament, he won the direct mandate in the constituency of Ludwigshafen I, the first ever for the CDU. In parliament, he serves as spokesperson for youth and children's policy of the CDU parliamentary group. He studied Political Science at the University of Mannheim, holds a Master of Public Policy from the Hertie School and subsequently completed his voluntary military service in the German Air Force. He volunteers as a football referee and is active on various levels in his hometown of Ludwigshafen.

In 2024, Raymond Höptner was elected Mayor of the district of Mundenheim, making him the youngest district mayor in the city. His path shows how democratic forces can win majorities through authenticity, clear values and closeness to the people, even where extremist forces are strong.
